Talon's tasting room located in the historic 1790's era farmhouse is open for business Monday-Wednesday 10am-6pm, Thursday - Saturday 10am-7pm and Sunday from 12 noon to 7pm. Our gift shop offers a wide range of unique wine related gifts and accessories, as well as Talon souvenirs.

You can experience the entire bottling process from vine to wine at our Corking Complex. Visitors are invited to participate in self-guided tours featuring a sneak peek at our vineyards, processing center, and Kentucky Oak barrels.

The landscaped grounds and covered porches surrounding the winery offer unlimited event possibilities. Talon's open-air pavilion and new enclosed party barn are equipped with full service catering capabilities. A private tasting room is available for small group functions, business meetings, luncheons, club outings, bridal showers, and much more. Guests are invited to enjoy indoor and outdoor picnicking year-round.


	Kerry Jolliffe, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, earned his Bachelor of Science degrees from The University of Kentucky in Agronomy and Hospitality Management with a minor in Business. After graduation, Kerry utilized his degrees to assist in the development and management of golf courses in Florida and Kentucky including Old Silo Golf Course, which received national recognition by Golf Digest in 2001. Over the past twenty years, Kerry’s interest in wine and the wine industry cultivated a desire to become more involved and led Kerry to first become a wine enthusiast and then a wine collector. Those passions led Kerry to Talon Winery & Vineyards, where he joined the Talon team in 2006, as an assistant winemaker and in 2007 Kerry became Talon’s head winemaker. Thanks to Kerry’s scientific knowledge, superb palate and love of wine, Talon proudly offers internationally recognized wines produced locally.

		Harriet L. Allen, Charles M. Tackett - Owners
	Historic Fairview farm was purchased by Harriet L. Allen and Charles M. Tackett in 1998. Harriet, an attorney and Louisville, KY native and Charlie a former Fayette County, Kentucky Circuit Judge, a Floyd County, Kentucky native share Five daughters and seven grandchildren. Several of their children and grandchildren have played integral roles in creating the winery and vineyard. Talon is truly a family venture.
